Check Around
Second, check around and see if you wrote it down somewhere.
Some people use password programs to keep track of all their passwords or a file or spreadsheet on their computer.
Some people even put notes next to their computer or on their computer desk somewhere (this isn’t secure – don’t do that) and it might be available there.
Your Web Browser May Help You
If you’re using a web browser on your desktop or laptop computer that keeps track of passwords for you, then this is the best place to look. Go into the settings and dig up the password there.
Firefox Facebook Password Recovery
For people using Firefox, go into the settings (Preferences on a Mac), then to Security and then “Saved Logins…” You can search for “facebook.com” and then click on the “Show Passwords” button.
You may be prompted for your browser’s master password. You’ll then see the passwords and you can right click on it to copy it.
Chrome Facebook Password Recovery
Finding your saved passwords in Chrome is even easier than with Firefox. To do it, just copy and paste this in the Chrome address bar:
